(castle) • PHLS • D : G • HISP • Z • REX • COM • ZEL •, facing portraits of Ferdinand and Isabella with an "S" and cross between / • DVCATVS • CO • ZEL • VA • HIS, Spanish arms with eagle supporter. An excellent example of this early type, well-struck overall with lustrous surfaces on a slightly wavy planchet. A handful of tiny pieces of residue or encrustation are noted, but none are especially distracting.
