Ferdinand VI Pillar 8 Reales 1752/1 LM-J VF35 NGC, Lima mint, KM55.1, Cal-305. The second year of the pillar 8 reales of Lima and while not as rare in absolute terms as the 1751, still seldom offered and highly collectible on the market. The obvious 1 placed beneath the 2 in the date should add considerable value for the specialist, confirming the striking of the 1751 date for the many Peruvian collectors that weren't even aware of its existence. The fact that this piece is so attractive, with green and gold tone at the edges only furthers the appeal. The only example of this extremely rare overdate that we have encountered and as such, and coin that is certain to generate much excitement.
