Charles III Pillar 8 Reales 1760 LM-JM AU58 NGC, Lima mint, KM-A64.1. Variety with two dots. The first year pillar issue of Charles III, and a much coveted, rare variety of the date, with dots above both the mintmarks that flank the date instead of a single dot over the left mintmark. The finest example of the issue graded by NGC, and the finest we've observed by quite a large margin. Attractive detail and eye-catching old-time toning in olive, gold, and blue-green hue only serves to further the appeal. An important coin for the specialist collector.
Estimate: 4000-5000 USD
