Peter I Rouble (1721) UNC Details (Planchet flaw) NGC, Kadashevsky mint, KM-C157.5, Dav-1655, Bitkin-450, Diakov-1129. Cyrillic date (‡AΨKA). Obv. Laureate and armored bust right, with palm branch on chest; small cross above. Rev. Crowned imperial double eagle facing, holding scepter and orb; crown above. Though in a details holder due to its planchet flaw, this exceptional piece, with an enchanting tone and scattered underlying luster, is as made. Notoriously known for impurities and problems with metal, a flaw such as this, though obviously noticeable, should not detract from its designation and result in a net grade. Certainly worthy of another opinion regarding its status. Scarce in this state, regardless of the holder.
Estimate: 5000-7000 USD
