Alexander I Specimen copper Pattern Rouble 1804 SP64 Brown PCGS, Soho mint, Bitkin-Ж925 (R1), KM-Pn65, Diakov-293.1 (R1), plain edge. Obv. Armored and draped bust of Alexander I right. Rev. Cross with date at bottom 18-04. Superbly struck, with mildly reflective fields. The color is a pleasing brown, with orange highlights, and a single tiny mark is noted in the right obverse field. Designed by C.H. Kuchler and struck at the Soho mint in Birmingham, England. The 1804 copper Proof pieces were trials for Matthew Boulton's new Russian minting facility
