Alexander III Specimen gilt copper "Borki Railway Disaster" Medal 1888 SP63 PCGS, by A. Griliches, Jr., Diakov-1010.1 (not listed in Gilt), Smirnov-958, 89mm. Commemorating the, "Miraculous Survival of the Tsar's Family After a Railway Crash in 1888." Obv. Alexander III surrounded by his family, with three-line inscription in exergue. Rev. Angel blessing a kneeling woman, with images of the train crash, and victims, in exergue. The relief is quite bold, with mottled golden patina and a few light marks. Ex. Stack's sale of the Eugene J.
