Republic silver Specimen Pattern 20 Lire 1931-R SP66 PCGS, Rome mint, KM-Pn4. An interesting pattern issue with "Prova" in the reverse field, presenting the symbolic figure of St. Marinus holding three smoking towers and a trio of upright, stylized feathers with a crown above. The broad planchet is accentuated with an all-over silk texture, as well as, needle-sharp renderings throughout, and flares of russet color at the peripheries. Rare, especially in this exalted certified Specimen condition, and fully engaging as such. Accompanied with its Regia Zecca sachet.
