Lanarkshire - New Lanark. Lanark Mills Counterstamped 5 Shillings ND (c. 1811) VF25 PCGS, KM-CC66, Manville-69. Struck upon a Mexican 8 Reales of 1777 Mo-FF. The counterstamp is separately graded VF Details by PCGS. An attractive and clearly legible example of this rare issue, both in terms of the stamp and the host coin, with wholly original argent-gray tone with a subtle undertone of russet throughout.
