Geneva. Canton 10 Francs 1848 MS64 PCGS, KM138, Dav-374, HMZ-2363a. Mintage: 385. A beautiful coin, and even higher grade than the specimen in the Redwood Collection, which Heritage sold in August, 2016. That coin was a PCGS MS63 which hammered at $3,200, though we expect there would be a sizeable jump in value between an MS63 and MS64, especially considering how tiny the mintage is on this issue. Gray toning with faint hints of opal, this coin is very original and attractive.
