Charles IV 2 Reales 1790/89 PTS-PR MS64 NGC, Potosi mint, KM62. Stunningly fresh with radiant luster beaming from the surfaces and only hints of light tone over both sides. Impressively struck as well, as all the peripheral legends, as well as the bust and crowned arms in the centers, rise to full completion. The faint remnants of a 9 beneath the 0 in the date only serve to add further character. Truly, a miracle survivor of this short-lived Charles III busted style (1789-1790), and as the single finest graded (and possibly finest extant) of the date and type, a coin that is sure to spark significant interest in the collector seeking irreplaceable Spanish American issues.
Estimate: 1500-2000 USD
