João V gold 12800 Reis 1732-M AU58 NGC, Vila Rica mint, KM139, LMB-288. A modestly graded example of this large gold type, yet fully original with superb eye-appeal. While a touch of friction is certainly apparent on the highest portions of the design, the surrounding fields show almost no evidence of past contact and the striking detail is excellent for the issue. A hint of brighter orange-gold tone that mostly clings to the edges helps to boost the eye-appeal even further.
