Napoleon 5 Francs L'An 12-A (1803/1804) MS65 NGC, Paris mint, KM660.1. Completely sublime, with jewel-like tones that attractively layer the obverse and a much heavier pattern of color that permeates the whole of the reverse. As one would expect at this level of presentation, the design elements are essentially as struck, while the surrounding fields contain few marks that impede the flow of luster, nor slow the studying eye. A model representative of this singular type, and the only certified example to reach the Gem level.
