Hesse-Darmstadt. Ernst Ludwig gold Proof 20 Mark 1897-A PR67 Cameo NGC, Berlin mint, KM371, Jaeger-225. A total Gem in every sense of the word, with full originality and deep, marigold coloring. A coveted type, even more so at this near-pristine level, with delicate contrast noted between the illustrations and mirrors, and very few post-strike issues observed throughout. While examples of this series have been sold at the Gem level, none have reached this pinnacle of certified quality. As such, this alluring jewel is befitting of a premium bid consideration.
