Nassau. Wilhelm Taler ("Kronentaler") 1825 PZ-CT MS66 NGC, KM48, Dav-740. A superlative premium Gem, with prooflike surfaces that are essentially absent all forms of handling and covered in rich old cabinet toning that produces dramatic blue-green iridescence around the raised devices. A coin with few equals, as only a single example appears to come close to this piece in archived auction results (that coin, which has noticeable marks in the images, was recently sold by Künker on 9/16 for just over $6,000) and it remains the sole finest example graded by NGC or PCGS. As such, an ideal selection for the condition-conscious 19th century crown collector.
