George IV gold Sovereign 1830 MS65 NGC, Royal mint, KM696, S-3801. A superb final date sovereign for George IV that currently exists as the only example graded at the MS65 level by NGC or PCGS. Fully befitting of the Gem moniker, the fields on this lovely piece have retained sparkling satin luster that is absent large marks or grazes and the detail imparted by the strike rises to absolute completeness. Furthermore, the golden color over the surfaces is entirely even and gives exceptional balance to both sides. As previously alluded to, extremely rare in this condition, and as such, a coin that is certain to be an immediate enhancement for the sovereign collector's set.
