Victoria gold Proof 5 Pounds 1893 PR67★ Ultra Cameo NGC, Royal mint, KM787, S-3872. An immaculate coin, and quite possibly the finest survivor from the original 773 examples struck for sets of the year, with peerless dimension to the cameo contrast that is created by undisturbed frost on the central motifs as well as "black" mirrors in the fields that remain almost entirely free of the tiny marks from original box storage or hairlines from a past wipe that almost always accompany this issue. An incredibly vibrant sheath of canary-yellow tone furthers the appearance to levels not previously seen on the issue, with the present coin's single finest status at NGC (with no comparable examples at PCGS) confirming what the eye already knows. An additional affirmation of the high level of originality is observed in the presence of numerous tiny maroon specks that primarily situation at the upper reverse boarder; for had this coin been dipped in the past, these specks would have likely been removed. A totally elite coin without question, and an undeniable Victorian treasure! For the winning bidder, a coin that is all but certain to produce a seldom-equaled pride of ownership.

Estimate: 50000-70000 USD
