From the short-lived Ligurian Republic which was formed by Napoleon in 1797, this spectacular offering features golden-gray patina that blankets the planchet and underlying blush that brightens from between the breaks in tone. Unmistakable razor-sharp detailing may indicate Specimen intent, but even at the Gem level, this current offering is likely one of the finest survivors of this singular issues.
