Papal States. Clement XIII Testone (30 Baiocchi) 1763 Anno VI MS67 NGC, KM1001. An outstanding representative of the type, complete with splendorous champagne-hued luster that brightens the immaculate fields and impressive design renderings that achieve incredible height. The papal arms motif is beautifully styled and crisp throughout, due in part to an exacting strike, and the reverse images of St. Peter and St. Paul are noticeably bold for the issue. The only certified example of this date, and in a state of preservation that seems nearly impossible.
