Philip V 8 Reales 1738/7 Mo-MF MS64 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM103, Cal-782. Among the most original Mexican 8 reales of Philip V that we have encountered, with moderate gray and gold tone over both sides and glossy underlying surfaces that are sharply detailed throughout the design and minimally marked in the fields. Almost certainly the finest survivor of this rare overdate and in the NGC census, only surpassed by a single MS65 of the regular variety for the date.
