Mesmerizing quality for a gold coin of this period, with coruscating luster that enlivens both the obverse and reverse and surfaces that, as the grade suggests, remain in near-pristine quality. Close inspection reveals a faint instance of planchet adjustment marks running through João's hair, but they are noted purely for accuracy's sake and are of little visual consequence.
