Philip IV 8 Reales 1636/5 (Aqueduct)-R MS64 NGC, Segovia mint, KM111, Cal-580. A beautiful silvery-golden example of this Philip IV date with flickering luster on both sides that results from the metal flow and surfaces that have been carefully preserved for nearly 400 years. Attributable to a bold strike, the design detail on both sides also remains rather sharp, with nearly full dentilation on the obverse, and a small area from 4 to 5 o'clock on the reverse where it runs slightly off the flan. As a type, extremely rare in this near-Gem quality and truly astonishing as the second example in this amazing collection.
