Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1811 V-SG MS65 NGC, Valencia mint, KM455.2, Cal-667. An astounding Gem crown from this scarce mint that was clearly placed aside in the distant past and has obviously been lovingly cared for since that time. Fully struck, one is immediately drawn to the sharpness of Ferdinand's wavy hair, while further inspection highlights the exceptional crispness in the crowned shield on the reverse, as well as all peripheral lettering. The fields maintain consistent prooflike attributes, and can be attributed to exceptionally high production standards. Finally, alluring tone circles most of the legends, with blue-green and golden patina adding a further layer to the eye appeal. Easily among the finest known for the issue, and truly a sublime coin in all respects!
