Republic 5 Centesimos 1857-D MS66 Red and Brown NGC, Lyon mint, KM8. A stunning minor that displays nearly pristine, mostly red surfaces with the addition of a small areas of bright magenta patina from 6 to 8 o'clock on the reverse legends. Quite likely the finest survivor of the date and an always popular type due to the radiant sunface design. Worthy of a strong bid.
