BLACK SEA REGION. Olbia. Ca. 350-330 BC. Cast Æ (60mm, 92.94 gm, 12h). Good Very Fine. Female head (Demeter?) facing, wreathed with grain ears, triangular chin and protruding tongue / ΟΛΒΙΗ above Eagle standing right, wings spread, head left, on back of dolphin right; ΘΕΟ below. Anokhin 242–3 variant (exergue inscription, grain ear on reverse). Published by P. Nicorescu in "Un Nouvel Aes Grave Olbien" in Dacia: Recherches Et Decouvertes Archeologiques En Roumanie (Bucarest, 1932). Extremely rare! Reddish-brown patina.
