Copper Company of Upper Canada Proof aluminum Pattern "Restrike" 1/2 Penny Token "1794" (1894) PR62 PCGS, PF-10, Br-721. The aluminum variety of the Thomas "Restrike" tokens. Struck in medal rotation. Obv. Reclining river god, holding trident, with date below. Rev. COPPER COMPANY OF UPPER CANADA in center circle with date around. Bright argent-gray patina, as normal for a token, or coin, struck in aluminum. The strike is bold and the fields nicely reflective. Minor marks, and spots, are noted, but none are singularly significant. Very rare, and the only example certified in this metal by PCGS. We know of only one other example in aluminum.
