Canada
Upper Canada copper "Mule" 1/2 Penny Token 1794 MS62 Brown PCGS, This exceedingly rare mule has the Eccleston obverse from the Great Britain-Lancashire 1/2 Penny Condor token D&H-58, muled with the Canada reverse from the token Breton-721. Included is a Mint State example of the Lancashire Condor token (MS63 Brown PCGS), so that one might compare the obverses to see that they are the same, and also so that one might note the Canada reverse on the rare mule issue. The "Mule" issue has chocolate-brown toning with scattered splotches of golden color. The strike is very bold and the surfaces exhibit only a few light marks. Only a single piece of this issue has been certified by PCGS and NGC combined, and we are extremely pleased to be able to offer an example of this seminal issue.
Estimate: 18000-20000 USD
