Newfoundland. Victoria Specimen 50 Cents 1874 SP63 PCGS, London mint, KM6. A visual delight with immediate flash that leaps from the fields and fully-executed designs that express a satin sheen across both sides. The beginnings of autumnal color dapple the outer registers, haloing the portrait of the Queen in a russet bezel, while the open expanses remain argent and full of gloss. Currently one of only three examples certified by PCGS in a Specimen quality, this offering is remarkably free of any blemishes other than light wisps, and is perhaps even more choice once in hand.
