Bust of Emperor Karl V right, wearing a hat, with order chain around his neck. Rev. The new, and complete, helmeted coat-of-arms as changed by the Emperor. A superb, and lustrous, example of this large gold issue. The strike is a bit uneven, with surfaces free of significant flaws. Evidence of rusty dies is noted. Along with the small insignia of M. Weber, the rusty dies gives credence to this piece being struck after the date 1528. An extremely rare issue and the only example of this type certified by NGC, and PCGS.
