George V gold Proof 2 Pounds 1911 PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM821, S-3995. As far as we can tell, this is the highest-graded 1911 2 pounds that has sold in a number of years. For those magnifying the picture of this coin on the website, they should note that there are a few spots just in front of the forehead of George V that appear to be a bit of fuzz that was not removed from the coin prior to encapsulation. A simply stunning coin, with a beautiful and stark cameo contrast between the devices and the fields, we have a hard time imagining a prettier example of this type.
