British India. East India Company - Victoria gold Mohur 1841.-(c) MS62 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM462.2, Prid-22, S&W-3.11 (Rare). Type B/1. "W.W." Crosslet 4. Regarded as the rarest variety for the split legend type, with the obvious addition of a "spike" that punctuates the intersecting lines of the 4 in the date. Among the nicest we have encountered, the present piece showcases attractive luster and a highly detailed strike. Astonishingly few eye-catching marks are seen and the result is a stunningly balanced appearance for the grade.
