British India. East India Company - Victoria gold Mohur 1841.-(c) MS62 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM462.1. Prid-22, S&W-3.7. Type A/1. W.W. Plain 4. Large Date variety. A highly original example of this immensely popular gold type, exhibiting beautiful golden color with thick, satin-textured luster over both sides that generates wonderful eye-appeal. Unlike most of the surviving population of this issue, few deep marks enter the surfaces, with scattered, wispy handling contributing almost entirely to the grade. Easily superior to most examples we've seen and as such, a coin that will surely excite the collector.
