British India. Victoria gold Mohur 1862-(c) MS64 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM480, Prid-1, S&W-4.1. Type A/1. One of the more available dates for this later mohur type, but incredibly elusive in this near-Gem grade, with a sharp strike and few marks over the pale golden surfaces helping to confirm the grade. No examples of this variety have been graded finer by NGC, and only a single example of the "V on bust" variety has received the MS65 grade. An ideal type coin.
