British India. Victoria gold Mohur 1885-(c) MS63 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM496, Prid-21, S&W-6.13. Tied with two other examples for the finest example graded of the date at NGC (with no comparable examples at PCGS), and easily the most attractive example of this issue we've seen, with enchanting orange-gold surfaces that are overflowing with bright mint bloom. An impressively sharp strike, particularly visible in the detailing of Victoria's hair and crown, provides further benefit to the viewer. A coin that certainly approaches the near-Gem (MS64) grade in all facets, and as such, should be deserving of a premium bid from the collector the treasures elite quality items.

Estimate: 5000-7000 USD
