Meiji gold 20 Yen Year 3 (1870) MS62 NGC, Osaka mint, KM-Y13, JNDA 01-1, JV-L1. Notable as the first and only "collectible" date from this limited and scarce series, featuring the beautifully ornate dragon motif and reverse military arms, all draped with a light layer of tone. Per the grade assignment, evidence of mild handling is observed; however, the overall allure of this selection remains visually bold. Not often available so fine, there are presently fewer than 30 Mint State examples of this year certified between PCGS and NGC. As such, this prized offering is sure to garner considerable interest from the specialized collectors of Meiji gold rarities.

Estimate: 40000-60000 USD
