Stanislaus Augustus gold 3 Ducat 1794 MS61 NGC, Warsaw mint, KM218, Fr-98, Kop-2541. A fairly rare, large-sized issue, this impressive piece offers a highly pleasing luster along with richly mirrored surfaces. A golden-orange tone near the peripheries further augments its appeal. There are some light hairlines commensurate with the grade assigned, as well as a minor scratch near the upper left prong on the reverse. KM lists the value in XF as $22,000. Includes an old Spink & Son ticket, dated 15 July 1954, and with the price of £117/6/8!
