Alexander I of Russia silver 10 Zlotych 1820-IB MS61 NGC, Warsaw mint, KM-C101.1, Bitkin-819 (R), Parchimowicz-1041. Obv. Bust of Russian, Czar Alexander I, right. Rev. Double-headed Polish eagle, with crown above dividing the date 18-20. A superior example of this extremely rare issue. The strike is superb, with russet, gold, and gray toning. The fields are deeply mirrored, with moderate marks, as one might expect of the grade. Close examination might lead one to believe that this is a Proof strike. A tiny mintage of only 534 pieces and this is the only example certified, in all grades, by NGC. By far, the finest of this issue we have seen.
Estimate: 10000-12000 USD
