Alexander I of Russia gold 50 Zlotych 1818-IB AU55 NGC, Warsaw mint, KM103, Fr-105, Bitkin-805. Large head type. Obv. Bare head right. Rev. Crowned imperial double eagle facing, holding scepter, sword, and orb; crown above, crowned and mantled coat-of-arms on breast. With very little evidence of wear, this popular type features light, pleasing toning and some scattered hairlines. The only mark of note is a small rim bruise located at the bottom on the obverse, which has some corresponding scratches on the reverse, possibly indicating its use in some way as a jewelry piece, though the location of this would be highly unusual. Includes an old Spink & Son ticket, dated 20 July 1954, and with the price of £10!
