Peter I Rouble 1725 MS62 NGC, Moscow mint, KM162.5, Diakov-1604. About as pleasing as one is bound to find for this coveted Peter I type, with a strong portrait and glowing luster on both sides beneath a layer of enchanting multicolored iridescent tone. While not severe at all, numerous minor planchet imperfections are blended into the surfaces, but their overall severity and visual impact is less than often encountered. A minuscule amount of smoothing also appears right above the 5 in the date. Currently the single finest example of the variety to have been graded by NGC, and as such, a coin that would without question make a profoundly positive impact inside any Russian cabinet.
Estimate: 6000-8000 USD
