Paul I Rouble 1798 CM-MБ MS62 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C101a, Dav-1688, Bitkin-32. Obv. Crowned cruciform monogram. Rev. Legend in four lines within decorated cartouche. A highly pleasing example of a rouble from the brief reign of Paul I, this coin features steel-gray toning, with some deeper tones on the obverse, and a lighter golden nature on the reverse. Each side abounds in radiant underlying luster, and a sharp strike is on full display. Scarcely encountered in such an attractive and well preserved grade, this specimen will command a great deal of interest.
