Nicholas I platinum Proof 3 Roubles 1831-СПБ PR63 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C177, Fr-160, Bitkin-77. Obv. Crowned imperial double eagle facing, holding scepter and orb; crown above. Rev. Denomination and date in four lines; circular legend around. Quite rare in Proof, as are all of the platinum issues. The strike is bold, and the fields nicely mirrored, with light hairlines.
