X IΛCOBVS • 5 • DEI • GRΛ • R • SCOTOR • 1540, bust right wearing bonnet, an annulet to the left / + HONOR ‡ REGIS • IVDICIVM • DILIGIT, crowned arms over cross fleurée. Very rare and superbly struck with beautiful reddish tone, the legends entirely on-flan and the bust well-detailed with little observable circulation wear. Light die rust is noted in the fields, which are otherwise free of noteworthy marks or abrasions.
