SELEUCID KINGDOM. Demetrius II, first reign (AD 146/5-138 BC). AR drachm (17mm, 4.20 gm, 12h). NGC MS 4/5 - 5/5. Seleucia in Pieria. Diademed head of Demetrius right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ ΝΙΚΑΤΟΡΟΣ, anchor upwards, lily symbol on crossbar to left. HGC 9, 982. SC 1927.1. SNG Spaer 1634 (same dies). Very rare with lily symbol! Crisply struck in sound metal.
The lily symbol on the reverse might seem to indicate an issue from a Judaean mint, perhaps Jerusalem, however this series is die-linked to other drachms from Seleucia-Pieria and this seems to be the correct attribution.
