PTOLEMAIC EGYPT. Arsinoe II, deified wife of Ptolemy II (died ca. 270 BC). AR decadrachm (35mm, 31.38 gm, 12h). VF, corroded. Alexandria, ca. 253/2-246 BC. Veiled head of Arsinoe II right, wearing diadem, stephane and ram's horn / ΑΡΣΙΝΟΗΣ ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟΥ, double cornucopia bound with royal diadem. Cf. Svoronos 942. Troxell Group 3. Badly corroded, to left side of obverse and right of reverse with severe surface delaminations.
