Republic 8 Soles 1863 PTS-FP MS65 NGC, Potosi mint, KM-138.6. Generally the obverse is weakly struck which doesn't properly display the motifs and characters fully. This Gem example is the exception to the rule though and has remarkable eye-appeal on both sides with complimentary frosty luster. The overall tone is a light champagne with hints of sporadic amber toning on the peripherals which adds to the superlative aesthetics. To date this is the finest specimen graded by either NGC or PCGS by two full grades and the next finest is an MS63. We anticipate competitive bidding for this marvelous example.
Estimate: 1500-2000 USD
