Danish Colony. Frederik VII Prooflike 5 Cents 1859-(c) PL64 NGC, KM65. This beautifully toned, prooflike selection features the head of Frederik VII and an elaborately detailed sailing ship. Visually stunning with obverse patina in varying shades of blue-gray and reverse color in a mixture of amber and steel, this one-year type has a purported mintage of only 10 pieces, although more seem to exist. Even so, this near-gem dazzles from start to finish.
