George II "Lima" Shilling 1745 MS64 NGC, KM583.2, S-3703. Mature portrait type. One of the finest known of this issue with a superb portrait upon silvery gray surfaces coupled with blue highlights at the peripheries. Very clean fields and just a spectacular example of the type. The silver used to strike this coin was taken from the Spanish at Lima, Peru.
