Anonymous (attributed to Romanus IV). Ca. 1068-1071. AE follis (27.52 mm, 5.39 g, 6 h). Class G Anonymous. Constantinople mint. Nimbate facing bust of Christ wearing pallium and colobium; raising right hand in benediction, scroll in left; IC - XC to either side, all within heavily dotted border / Nimbate facing bust of the Virgin, orans, and wearing pallium and maphorium; MP - ΘV to either side, all within heavily dotted border . SBC 1867; DOC pp. 692-4. good VF for type, exceptional surfaces.
