Draped bust of Mercury right, wearing winged petasus; to left, ∆ above caduceus / Ulysses walking right, holding staff and extending hand toward his dog, Argus. The reverse of this type depicts the return of Ulysses to his home on the island of Ithaca. His dog Argus, overjoyed at the sight of him after years away, died at his side.
