Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ As (23mm, 8.84 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 171. Laureate and draped bust right / PRIMI/DECEN/NALES/COS III/S C in five lines within wreath. RIC III – (but cf. 1007 for sestertius); MIR 18, 219-9/33 but unlisted for an As. Good VF, dark brown surfaces with traces of red. Apparently unpublished denomination for this reverse type.
