Good Very Fine. Beautiful style. Very Rare.
This magnificent coin, which hails from the final series of tetradrachms produced at Panormos, is found almost without exception in poor condition; this example by contrast is as fine as any that Jenkins could locate while compiling his work on the coinage of Punic Sicily. The style of the engraving displays a level of refined classical beauty that is unmatched in the earlier coinage of this city, and represents the pinnacle of tetradrachm production at Panormos.
